Wish i got a little more info on this unit before i installed it at the Todd rd Jail. Soild unit, lots of traffic and the only issues it has is rats finding a way in and chewing the limit switch wires
Hi there Wayne Beck. Yes, rodents are unfortunately a common issue with all gate operators, and outdoor electrical equipment. No matter how tight you seal the enclosure, they will find a way in for the heat and shelter. Our best advice is to put some sort of rodent repellent inside of the operator cabinet to encourage the rodents to go elsewhere. Hope this helps!
